築地にある浄土真宗本願寺派の寺院。築地本願寺自体は江戸時代初期に建立されたが、現在の本堂自体は新しく、1934年に竣工された。古代インド様式の建造物は周辺の建物からしても非常に奇抜に見えるが、むしろ威風堂々としており、決して媚びへつらわない孤高の雰囲気を漂わせる。 本堂内は無料で拝観可能。但し常時開かれているわけではなく、早朝に開門され夕方には門が閉じられる。基本的に観光案内するための寺院では無い...Visited June 2021
