New National Theatre, Tokyo

The New National Theater in Tokyo consists of three playhouses: the Opera House and a small and medium halls. The theater holds its own performances of operas, ballets, dances, and plays 300 stages a year. Each playhouse is fully equipped with the latest technology enabling various scene changes on a stage, so diverse stage directions are made possible. The audio equipment is also excellent, and it creates a natural sound that envelops the whole playhouse. A nursery-care service is available, and you can leave your children between the ages of 0 and 12 at the nursery while you are enjoying the performance (advance reservation required). The theater building is directly connected to the Central Exit of the Hatsudai Station on the Keio New Line (the Metropolitan Subway Shinjuku Line also stops at the station).
