We have one of the largest selection of kitchen knives in Tokyo, with over 300 types on display and a high-quality resharpening service that attracts chefs from starred restaurants and local housewives.
Many of the knives we carry are specially commissioned by the shop owner, who visits blacksmiths all over Japan and directly asks them to make the knives for the store. You can find items in the store that are unavailable at other knife stores or have been waiting for several years.
The large circular whetstone called Ento for making kitchen knives is used to sharpen knives from the peak thinly, which often results in better sharpness after the knife is resharpened than when it was purchased. You can also see the resharpening process and the workshop through a small window of the store.
Knives are sold at a minimum price of about 10,000 yen and resharpening costs at a minimum price of about 1,000 yen.
