WOMB—an iconic symbol of Tokyo’s Shibuya dance music culture, renowned worldwide—celebrates its 26th anniversary with a special party on Friday, April 24. Opening the door to the next quarter-century, this milestone night welcomes back Richie Hawtin, an artist who has long shared a deep respect for Japanese culture and played a key role in WOMB’s history.
On 2F, Richie Hawtin delivers a DJ set alongside longtime collaborator DJ Sodeyama, and Occa, who joined him during his 2024 Japan tour at Sapporo’s Precious Hall.
The acclaimed anniversary project series “RICHIE HAWTIN × WOMB × SAKE BREWERY” also returns. This year’s partner is Fukushima-based haccoba. Under Richie Hawtin’s direction, an original sake—“SPARK 26”—has been developed exclusively for WOMB’s 26th anniversary and will be unveiled to the world for the first time on this night.
On 1F, the SAKE LOUNGE returns, offering tastings of SPARK 26. From Osaka, Yama, known for DJ Nobu’s WOMB resident party Reprise and a frequent WOMB performer, joins alongside Kyoto’s Chanaz, with Word of Mouth returning for another special set.
On 4F, Bobby. arrives from London—previously appearing at WOMB’s countdown alongside Craig Richards—joined by WOMB regular Satoshi Otsuki and next-generation talent Levolant.

RICHIE HAWTIN × WOMB × SAKE BREWERY — SERIES VOL.2 “SPARK 26”

Supervised by Richie Hawtin, the original sake “SPARK 26” will make its world premiere on the night of the event.
Crafted to achieve a balance of freshness and complexity, this sparkling sake is fermented with rice and distillation lees from the nearby craft gin distillery naturadistill. Using the lees from their seasonal spring gin “Ume Blossom & Mikan Distilled Spirit,” it carries layered botanical aromas—juniper berries, plum blossom, mandarin, and strawberry—delivering a gentle yet complex expression. A bottle that brings the richness of Fukushima’s local ingredients to the world.

A Love From Outer Space (A.L.F.O.S.), founded by Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston. Carrying on its spirit after Andrew’s passing, Sean Johnston returns to PPP.
Also known as one half of Hardway Brothers, Sean connects disco, dub, post-punk, proto-house, and acid house within a mid-tempo framework—building a distinctive groove that continues to earn devoted support, especially across the UK.
Joining him is YAMARCHY, whose bookings span across Japan and beyond, including Festival de FRUE, Rainbow Disco Club, rural, Wonderfruit, Equation, and Panorama Bar. Rather than simply playing records, he weaves the very moments of the dancefloor into a narrative-driven space. Music that reveals itself fully only to those who stay—experience it firsthand. -

Kicking off Golden Week, Tuesday, April 28—SESSION takes over the main floor for a special night.
This time, the heat of Kaohsiung’s underground scene—one of the most exciting movements in Taiwan right now—lands in Tokyo. Yakashi, resident of the key local hub OTO BASHO, brings his signature blend of raw, hypnotic, and peak-time techno straight to the floor.
Guiding this sonic journey is SESSION’s own Tommy Wada. With his genre-fluid “play-all” approach, he builds the energy with precision—setting the stage for Yakashi’s deep and driving set to fully unfold. The experience is further elevated by synchronized visuals from H2KGRAPHICS and lighting by SAITO, shaping the immersive world of SESSION across all senses.
On 4F, resident Ahreum curates the floor—crafting a refined space that moves from progressive house into techno, driven by addictive melodies and groove, alongside a carefully selected lineup of guests.

A new movement in Tech House arrives at WOMB — ASK TASK.
Driven by bright, bouncing beats and immersive VJ visuals layered with vivid color,
this night marks the beginning of a journey toward becoming
“the center of Tech House in Japan.”
As a special guest, the highly acclaimed DJ TJO takes the stage.
On the 2F, Resident DJ Y’K leads a seamless flow of world-standard Tech House selections, keeping the energy alive without interruption.
From deep, driving grooves to those peak moments where the entire floor moves as one,
a wave of colorful, high-energy sound will take over WOMB.
The 1F transforms into an Afro Lounge, produced by You Liang.
Here, Afro grooves intersect with modern electronic sounds, creating a warm, immersive space filled with uplifting rhythms.

The official Rainbow Disco Club 2026 afterparty returns for the first time in three years.
The secret artist performing an all-night-long set will be revealed after the main festival wraps—stay tuned.
On 1F, Chida—who has captivated dancefloors worldwide including Berlin’s Panorama Bar, and is also active as part of Mascara with 5ive—goes B2B with Gero, a resident of Bali’s iconic Klymax Discotheque curated by DJ Harvey, and a key figure in Indonesia’s dance music scene.
On 4F, the deep-cut unit Akuma no Numa (Compuma, Dr. Nishimura, Awano) joins the lineup, alongside Kyomi, who makes her RDC debut with her alternative signature sound that has been drawing crowds across Japan. Expect a full night of dark, boundary-pushing electronic music that goes beyond the dancefloor. -
