Description
Bunkamura, open to the public since 1989, was the first large cultural-arts complex in Japan. Some 2.8 million people visit each year to take in culture and the arts. World-class music, opera and ballet are performed in the concert hall, plays and performing arts are staged in the theater, and films that meet Bunkamura's vigorous selection criteria are screened in the cinema. A wide variety of art from around the world is exhibited in the museum and gallery. There is also a bookshop full of art-related material where you can purchase some interesting books. In addition, you can relax in style at the first overseas branch of a famous Parisian café. It is a 5-minute walk from Exit 3a of Shibuya Station on the Tokyu Toyoko and Denentoshi lines and on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon and Fukutoshin lines.
