Description
It is a drinking district where dozens of izakaya pubs and bars stand in a row on a narrow alley of about 30 meters long. The alley is lined with old-looking but retro stalls and often used for shooting dramas or still photos. It is known as one of the popular but not widely publicized drinking spots in Tokyo. There are some shops that are crowded with young people even during the day, but at night, the area becomes full of die-hard drinkers who look for fun conversations. There is a wide variety of joints including some oden Japanese stew shops welcoming to novices. Looking for a place that matches your taste is one of the thrills in visiting this place. Visitors should take note that some shops do not welcome customers who are drunk or who have already had drinks elsewhere. The alley is near the Tateishi Station on the Keisei Line.
