Jiyugaoka Sweets Forest

This theme park in Jiyugaoka is often introduced on TV shows and in magazines. Not only ladies are fond of sweets — many men visit the park, too. The place has the appearance of an other-worldly forest sprinkled with delicious little shops. Most sweets here are the work of international-prize-winning pastry chefs, or those who have trained overseas. You can have freshly-made cakes, soufflés and crêpes, and of course, you can take them home. The first floor features a store that handles some 3,500 items related to confectionary creation, including the tools and ingredients used by the pros, while the second floor has the chocolate shop of Yukihiko Kawaguchi, Japan's pioneering chocolatier. A five-minute walk from the South Entrance of Jiyugaoka Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line.
