Description
This museum stands on the corner of Setagaya's Metropolitan Kinuta Park, famous for its greenery and cherry-blossom trees. Its collection has some 15,000 works of modern and contemporary art from Japan and abroad, including works by local artists. The main collection includes works by Kitaoji Rosanjin, who was a calligrapher, gourmet, and also gave full play to his talents in the world of ceramics. Besides art exhibitions, the museum also holds events and concerts where you can experience art in different ways. You can soak in the afterglow of art appreciation at the museum shop, which sells sweets and other goods related to the works., or relax in the French restaurant cafe overlooking Kinuta Park. Access by bus from Yoga Station on the Tokyu Denen-toshi Line. A three-minute walk from Museum bus stop.
