Step Into the World of Chiikawa: Immersive 'Chiikawa Park' to Open in Ikebukuro's Sunshine City This July!
- Written by: LIVE JAPAN's editorial team
Get ready, Chiikawa fans—your dream is about to come true! The very first large-scale, permanent Chiikawa experience facility, Chiikawa Park, is set to open on July 28, 2025, in the basement of Sunshine City Annex in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Reservations, available by lottery, will open mid-June - and spots are expected to go fast!

Originally a webcomic shared on X, Chiikawa—short for “Something Small and Cute”—follows the sweet yet unexpectedly intense daily lives of Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and other expressive, lovable characters. Though the illustrations are adorable, the stories range from heartwarming to emotional and occasionally absurd, making the series a viral hit across Japan.
Created in collaboration with Juice and Spiral Cute, Chiikawa Park is designed as an immersive world where you can actually step inside the heartwarming universe of Nagano’s beloved characters.
Immersive Exhibit Area: Enjoy Iconic Scenes from the Chiikawa Universe

The first zone revealed is a stunner: the Goblin Dungeon, where Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi are shown trapped just like in the manga.
But don’t worry—nearby, you’ll also find a powerful photo spot where you can pose alongside the towering one-eyed Ode, right at the moment he bursts from his cell and sends goblins flying! It’s a scene packed with emotion, and fans will love seeing it brought to life.
And that’s just the beginning! The park will also feature mini-games inspired by the series—like the sticky Spider Web Catcher and the goofy Meatball Rolling Challenge. Beat the challenges and you’ll earn exclusive prizes you can’t get anywhere else.
Of course, there’s also a Chiikawa Park Limited Shop, filled with adorable original goods available only at the venue. Here’s a sneak peek at the first wave of merch:
