Scandinavian Brands Meet Harajuku: Inside Japan's Only Flagship Stores for Haglöfs and D_b_
- Written by: LIVE JAPAN Editor
Harajuku in Tokyo is known as an outdoor hub. You can find many outdoor brands in the area, including the flagship stores of the Scandinavian-born outdoor brand Haglöfs and the bag brand D_b_.
Until now, Haglöfs was only available in China, while D_b_ had not yet expanded its business in Asia. The Harajuku stores are now the only place in Asia where you can find both brands and offer a rare opportunity to discover the appeal of Scandinavian outdoor gear firsthand.
Haglöfs, a 100-year-old Scandinavian brand

Haglöfs is an outdoor gear brand founded in Sweden in 1914. It started as a bag factory and now offers an extensive range of products from mountain climbing, ski, and snowboard apparel to lifestyle wear.
The brand is characterized by its simple and refined Scandinavian design without any unnecessary elements. Its products are highly functional and accessible to everyone, ranging from everyday use to proper outdoor activities. The seasonal palettes inspired by Sweden’s landscapes are also part of its charm.

The popular Spitz Down Hood Men is a meticulously crafted piece with water-resistant down and a seamless texture. Available in stores every season, it is well-received by customers from Japan and abroad alike.
The Liden Short Down Hood Men is an original model created by Haglöfs for the Chinese market and designed to fit East Asian body types.

The Japan-exclusive T-shirt is another must-see item. It features a Tokyo logo on the left side of the chest and is only available in the Harajuku store.
Extensive selection of bags at the D_b_ Asia flagship store

D_b_ is a bag brand launched in Norway in 2012. It offers a wealth of bags designed for various purposes, from simple everyday use to skiing, snowboarding, and surfing.

The classic Hugger Backpack 30L makes use of the functionality of ski bags, with its large opening on the front and dedicated goggle pocket, combined with a design suitable for everyday use. It also features a laptop compartment on the back and a large storage space.
The Hugger Roller Bag 90L features two large wheels for easy rolling across any surface, including cobblestones. It can also be attached to another bag, offering high functionality with a simple design.

Japan-exclusive items include the Hugger Backpack 25L and the Ramverk Pro Sling Bag 20L, each featuring an original Tokyo logo and showcasing unique Japanese designs.
Pick your items with the help of knowledgeable staff

The store not only offers an extensive selection of products, but many of its staff members are also outdoor enthusiasts and can help you choose items tailored to specific situations. Additionally, some of them can provide assistance in English.
Haglöfs Harajuku and D_b_ TOKYO combine Scandinavian-inspired, refined designs with functionality. Come find the perfect item that suits your lifestyle in the outdoor hub of Harajuku.
