Description
At the Sokichi Kiriko Faceting Workshop, you can cut glasses using the traditional Japanese Kiriko faceting technique. There are more than twenty types of glasses, including transparent and colored, for everyday use and for drinking, as well as nearly one hundred samples of bottom and side patterns. There are various types from simple to challenging, therefore you can choose the one according to your level even if you are a beginner. Original patterns are available upon request. We have English- and Chinese- speaking staff members all the time to assist international visitors. For those interested in history, we offer a workshop as well as a history lecture on Kiriko faceting and cutting glass. It is located near Kaminarimon and a 30 second walk from Asakusa Station. In addition to the workshop, it has a store on the first floor where over 1,000 types of glassware and barware are sold. Please visit and choose a souvenir of Japan.
