With the theme of “Tradition×Innovation,” the Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center was established not only to carry on time-honored traditions but also to embrace diverse cultures and values, creating new cultural experiences and contributing to the revitalization of Shintoism and Japanese culture. “Zashow” started at this site in March 2019. Taira no Masakado is the enshrined deity of Kanda Myojin Shrine. Depicting his love for his people and his family, his desire to eliminate conflicts, his battles born from a desire to end conflict, his anger that transformed him into a demon when falsely labeled a traitor, and his wish for the future, as he rests in Tokyo’s Otemachi and Bando City, the Zashow team “Gai” delivers this story through sword fighting, action, dance, and drama.
In 2020, the all-female performance team “Yui” was formed, and “Ono no Komachi” has been performed since December 2023. Enjoy the non-verbal show designed for international visitors to Japan with film, music, meals and sake. We warmly invite guests from all over the world.
