Furusato Matsuri Tokyo - Japanese festivals and hometown flavors
Description
Since its beginning in 2009, this large-scale event held in Tokyo enables you to enjoy the festivals and local dishes from around the country all in one place. It is held every January at Tokyo Dome.
Festivals
Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, Akita Kanto Matsuri, Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori, Okinawa Zento Eisa Matsuri, and other festivals representative of Japan are gathered together to show off the powerful floats and elegant dances of each.
Food
Everything from A-class seafood items such as sea urchin and salmon roe, and brand-name beef to traditional regional dishes and local noodle dishes, there are more than 300 different types from which to choose. There are also special events such as the ”All Japan Local Donburi Championship.”
