Our driver to Nikko took us through this route (probably to burn some time) and finally stopped at a curve of the road with some distant small waterfalls in sight. Nothing to write home about.Visited September 2025 -

We rode the public bus in Nikko and enjoyed the route since we were one of the lucky ones that secured seats when boarding. This was around 7AM ish on a Saturday morning. The bus did not struggle...Visited October 2023 -

The traffic jam on Sunday was quite bad. We stopped at Akechidaira Ropeway on the way there. Coming down on a Monday was much better. We noticed the many turns but had no problem with it.Visited October 2023
