A small Japanese inn located near Shimoda Station, in the central area of 'Izu Shimoda,' known for its white sandy beaches, the history of the arrival of black ships and the opening of Japan, and the hot spring harbor town. Set against the backdrop of 'Shimoda Fuji,' the sister of Mount Fuji as told in local folklore, it is within walking distance of the ropeway, the townscape with namako walls, Shimoda Port, and Perry Road. All of these are within walking distance. The natural environment within the premises is so beautifully crafted that you might forget you're near Shimoda Station and the town. Once you step through the gate, it feels like another world, enveloped by the serene atmosphere of a Japanese inn and the seasonal charm of flowers. The building is a single-story traditional Japanese structure with only five rooms. Each room is equipped with an indoor cypress bath and an open-air bath made of Izu stone with water flowing directly from Shimoda Onsen, along with a miniature garden. Even while indoors, you can enjoy viewing wildflowers, making it perfect for relaxing and forgetting the hustle and bustle of daily life. Meals are served in the rooms for both breakfast and dinner, allowing you to enjoy private time with family or loved ones without any concern. Dinner features banquet cuisine centered on local ingredients, while breakfast offers a choice between Japanese or Western styles. The facilities within the inn, as well as the furnishings and amenities in the rooms, reflect meticulous attention to Japanese aesthetics, and above all, the spirit of hospitality is evident throughout.
