Founded in the early Edo period, this Japanese-style resort hotel boasts authentic Kyoto kaiseki cuisine made with an abundance of seasonal produce, including small fish and oysters from the Seto Inland Sea. There are 55 guest rooms, including Japanese-style and Japanese-Western style rooms, designed for comfort and ease. There are also special rooms with sukiya-style architecture and open-air baths, designed with the craftsmanship of Kyoto artisans. [December 2022] A new type of hot spring inn has opened in Beppu, the capital of Onsen Prefecture. All rooms are detached, with no meals included, and come with a private sauna and a natural hot spring/groundwater cold bath. You can enjoy Japan's only hot spring loyly in the sauna in your room.
