Tokushima Awaodori Airport

Tokushima Awa Odori Airport is the gateway for visitors heading to Tokushima Prefecture and for travelers crossing the Naruto Strait to Awaji Island.
The General Information Center on the first floor offers sightseeing support and provides luggage storage and same-day delivery to accommodations within the prefecture. International visitors can purchase the Tokushima Bus Pass (2,000 yen for adults) for two days of unlimited rides on local buses within the prefecture (highway buses are not included).
Since there is no railway connection, transportation to the city is by airport shuttle bus or taxi. Local buses also provide access to Naruto Park, where visitors can see the Naruto whirlpools, and to Mount Bizan, which offers panoramic views of Tokushima from the ropeway station inside the Awa Odori Kaikan.
The Awa Odori Festival takes place every year from August 12 to 15. More than one million visitors come during this period, so the city becomes very crowded and early reservations for transportation and accommodation are essential.
