It is the only place in Tsukahara Highlands where you can enjoy a spectacular view, with a grand panorama of Mt. Yufu and the highlands, and at night you can feel the stars falling from the sky as they approach. The views of the sunrise and sunset are also impressive. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, come and spend a moment where it feels as if time has stopped.
Welcome to a forest resort overlooking Mt. Yufu... The mountains of Yufuin, where the air is crystal clear. The all-cottage-style "Ryu-no-Hige" and forest villa "Bettei Yumuta" quietly stand amidst a lush natural forest of various shades of green. Relo Hotels & Resorts' stylish hot spring inn brand "Fuga" where you can spend time with your loved ones. Beppu Fuga is a hot spring resort located on a hill in Beppu Onsen, which has the largest number of hot springs and the largest amount of hot spring water in Japan, and combines the warmth of Japanese culture with a stylish Western hotel. Hotta no Yu, one of the eight hot springs in Beppu and known as the "beauty spring," can be enjoyed in two types of hot springs: a private open-air bath where you can enjoy the view of Mount Tsurumi and the night sky, and a large bath. Dinner is a Japanese-Western course meal using fresh local vegetables and seasonal fish, and the main beef steak is made from meat carefully selected by the chef and grilled on a special iron plate, so the concentrated flavor spreads in your mouth. In addition, for anniversaries such as birthdays, we recommend the all-inclusive plan, which allows you to enjoy authentic alcohol in the restaurant or in your room, adding even more color to your precious time. The lounge service where you can enjoy wine, coffee, soft drinks, etc. on the garden terrace, and the free services such as a choice of colored yukata for women, toys, picture books, etc. are also popular.
A small inn with 8 rooms. The two baths can be rented for private use. At the foot of Mt. Yufu, the inn is right in front of you as horse-drawn sightseeing carriages pass by, and the sound of their hooves echoes pleasantly. With a retro-modern design, it has a "tea room" where you can enjoy learning how to make tea, and a community room where you can find niche information about Yufuin. It is far from a high-end inn with all the comforts you could ask for, so you may feel inconvenienced at times. However, "we will continue to cherish the things that we value."
Kappo Mikuniya is located in Kunimi Town, Oita Prefecture, surrounded by mountains and the sea. 30 minutes by car from Oita Airport, just renovated and beautiful♪ We have only 7 small rooms, so please enjoy the delicious taste and fresh seafood dishes that can only be found in Japanese cuisine!
There are 13 rooms in 7 buildings with 4 types of guest rooms where you can experience the four seasons of the Yufuin Basin within an area of 11,000 square meters. The guest rooms are scattered throughout the hotel, blending in with the surrounding scenery. Please enjoy a quality stay in a relaxing space and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
*Please note that we do not have large beds available at this hotel.
The rooms have views of either the "sea side" overlooking Beppu Bay or the "mountain side" with its attractive steam from the hot spring. For meals, we offer original Japanese kaiseki cuisine centered around Bungo beef, served in the dining area! The hot spring is free-flowing from the source and has a smooth texture that feels good on the skin. (Free private baths available.)
Although it is a small inn, it is built on a slope, so it has many stairs. The floor is 3 stories from the top [front (1st floor), guest room (B1), guest room (B2) passage to the bath], and there is no elevator. There is always a spiral staircase for check-in / check-out and transportation to the dining venue.
