Miharashi-tei is a guest house (simple accommodation facility), not an ordinary inn. As it is a registered tangible cultural property, preschool children (under 5 years old) cannot stay. There is no access by car, motorbike or bicycle as it is located on a hill. There are about 370 steps. . The walls are thin in an old private house built more than 100 years ago, so you can hear voices and sounds well. Not suitable for light sleepers. There are many gaps in the old building, and in summer, mosquitoes can easily enter, and centipedes may appear. Also, the shower room is separate and you need to go outside. (Bath towels are available for rent.) You will sleep on futons in your room. Some rooms may be too small for large people. Some rooms are separated by fusuma, so it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to noise. Children are not allowed to stay in any room beyond the capacity. There is also a cafe and bar, but no meals are served, so guests are allowed to bring their own food and drinks. There is also a simple kitchen, so you can cook for yourself. Check-in is from 3pm to 10pm (strict). If you cannot check-in by 10:00 pm, you will not be able to stay and will be charged a cancellation fee.
