Description
Nozawa Onsen, said to have been discovered during the Nara period, is a hot spring town where good old traditions still live on.
During the Kamakura period, it was known as the Three Great Hot Springs, and in the Edo period, a hot spring resort was established for the feudal lord.
Currently, there are 13 outdoor baths, centered around Oyu, the symbol of Nozawa Onsen town, and each bath has a different source, and the quaint buildings make it a popular hot spring town.
In winter, you can enjoy high-quality pounder snow, as well as skiing and snowboarding, which are unique to this heavy snow region,
and the town is bustling with people from overseas who visit in search of Japanese culture and leisure.
Lodge Yukiyama welcomes travelers to Nozawa Onsen with warm hospitality and cuisine made with local ingredients.
