Kazezato is a lodging house located on the Kaida Plateau, at the foot of Mt. Kiso-Ontake, which has been certified as "the most beautiful village in Japan."
The moment you are surrounded by the endless panoramic scenery of fields, forests, and pastures, with Mt. Kiso-Ontake and the view terrace at the center, you will be invited to a rich time. Take a walk in the clear air, or on a clear night, be enveloped in a starry sky, and spend a holiday where you can forget about time and let your mind wander.
From all 20 rooms, you can see the picturesque scenery of each season, with Mt. Kiso-Ontake in front of you, the fresh greenery of spring, the greenery of summer, the autumn leaves, and the silver world of winter. There are 6 rooms in total, including 2 special rooms and 4 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths.
The meals are colorful, authentic Japanese kaiseki cuisine that makes use of ingredients from the highland land. One of the characteristics of Kazezato is that there are many repeat customers who like the food and have been coming since the establishment. Please enjoy the food with the delicate technique of the chef. You can also see Mount Kiso-Mitake and the gardens of Kazato from the wide windows in the dining area.
The hot springs in the large bath, which flow from the bounty of Mount Kiso-Mitake, come in a spacious indoor bath made from Kiso cypress and a large kiln bath where Kiso medicinal herbs were boiled. Both are large baths that exude the unique atmosphere of Kazato.
