Located just a 3-4 minute walk from Yubatake in the heart of the town, the inn is nestled in a quiet area surrounded by a shrine and a temple, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the hot spring district. Unusually for a central location, the inn is equipped with parking, making it convenient for guests arriving by car or motorcycle (parking is free for staying guests). The rooms exude a retro Showa-era charm, and while they may feel slightly inconvenient, guests can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere. While dinner is not provided, the inn's central location means there are many dining options within walking distance. Breakfast features homemade rustic dishes prepared with locally sourced vegetables and rice. The pride of our inn is undoubtedly the baths.There are five key features designed to satisfy hot spring enthusiasts. 1. Deep bathtubs designed to maximize the therapeutic benefits of the hot spring water. 2. A patented multi-layered bathtub with an appropriately regulated water temperature. 3. The traditional Kusatsu-style 'Shiriyaki Bath,' which utilizes spring water bubbling up from the bottom. 4. In March 2023, a spa suite with one room on the fifth floor opened, featuring a second-floor area with spa rooms that include hot spring baths, Forest Rooms themed around nature, and compact shared rooms. These spaces are designed to suit different purposes, whether for relaxation, workation, or enjoying freedom in how you spend your time. When you want a change of scenery, relax in the themed lounges and occasionally soak in the hot springs to warm your body.Take a walk to feel the refreshing air of nature.We have created an inn that offers SHIN-Yuji, a modernized version of the healing retreats where Meiji-era literary masters visited Shima and other hot spring locations to rejuvenate both body and mind, inspiring their creative pursuits.Although we do not offer extravagant services, our staff is committed to providing sincere and kind hospitality.At the first-floor dining area, Shimanone, we welcome guests with handmade soba and delicious sake.
