La Vista Kusatsu Hills

In 2021, a resort hotel named Lavista (meaning 'scenic view') fitting its name opened its doors.
Situated on a scenic hill slightly removed from the hot spring town, a charming German-style Western-style building stands – this is 'Lavista Kusatsu Hills.'
For the first time at Kusatsu Onsen, where it has traditionally been challenging to channel the strongly acidic hot spring water to upper floors, the six-story building has succeeded in bringing hot spring water to its top floor.
It offers a 'scenic bath' equipped with an open-air bath and indoor bath, as well as four uniquely themed private open-air baths.
In the 'first-ever top-floor hot spring facility at Kusatsu Onsen,' guests can enjoy a luxurious bathing experience while taking in the grand mountain ranges, including Mount Shirane,
and the hot spring town below, with its rising steam adding to the view.
Additionally, every guest room is equipped with its own open-air bath using natural hot spring water.The rooms, inspired by three design concepts based on the famous German fairy tales of the 'Grimm Brothers,' which have a historical connection to Kusatsu Onsen,
invite guests into an extraordinary world that feels both exotic and nostalgically familiar.
