Ichikawamisato Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, has been a production area of seals all over Japan for 105 years. Harada Shokodo, which was founded in 1918 and has been involved in a wide range of seal making by connecting the thoughts and wishes of people who use seals with the skills of craftsmen, is offering a stamp making experience workshop. Harada Shokodo is spreading the charm of culture all over the world, and is unique in that it caters to the needs of customers from overseas. Under the careful guidance of a skilled stamp craftsman, participants can experience carving their own stamps into stone using special tools in a 200-year-old traditional Japanese house.
The required time is 45 to 90 minutes. The cost is 12,000 to 24,000 yen (excluding tax) depending on the size of the stamp to be carved. Traditional Japanese House NAKAMURA is a duty-free shop, so customers traveling from overseas can enjoy the duty-free price if they bring their passport.
You can participate without making a reservation in advance, but we would appreciate it if you could contact us in advance to discuss your schedule so that we can secure the time of our stamp craftsman.
