Description
A hotel featuring authentic Italian cuisine supervised by the Italian master chef Mario Frittoli, which reopened in May 2021.
Mario Frittoli
Born in 1966 in Pavia, Lombardy, where Milan is the capital, and raised in Tuscany.
Growing up next to a farm restaurant, he helped with cooking and tending the fields as a child, treating it as play, and often served food to friends.
Studied for four years starting in 1980 at the Institute Alpegiro culinary school.
From 1984, he trained under Angelo Paracucchi, known as the god of pasta.Afterward, he honed his skills at the two-star restaurant Il Carpaccio and under French master chef Paul Bocuse.
Arrived in Japan in 1987 as the executive chef at Daimaru, Shinsaibashi, Kyoto.Though he moved to California, he returned to Japan in 1991.
Opened his own restaurant in 2002, co-founding Ristorante Luxor in Shirokanedai.
Later, he opened Mario i Sentieri in Nishiazabu in 2008, which continues to operate today.
Regularly appears on NHK's 'Asaichi.'Frequently appears on other TV programs and magazines, expanding opportunities to showcase talents.
