This is a lodging with only seven rooms, converted from a 108-year-old elementary school located in Akiyamago, a hidden natural paradise spanning Niigata and Nagano Prefectures. The cuisine, which creatively uses seasonal mountain delicacies like spring wild vegetables and autumn mushrooms as well as locally sourced ingredients, is very popular. The former gymnasium features a giant sugoroku board game, which is an artwork from the 'Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale' held in the region. Using the entire gymnasium, the enormous sugoroku game provides enjoyable content for both adults and children. The lodging serves Japanese-style creative cuisine abundantly incorporating mountain vegetables and other fresh produce. Care is taken to create dishes that balance flavor, presentation, and nutrition, allowing guests to savor the natural taste of the ingredients. The dining tables are adorned with seasonal wildflowers picked from the surrounding mountains, and heartfelt hospitality is offered to ensure guests enjoy their precious meals. An elementary school that has continued to watch over many children in the 'Hidden Region of Akiyama-go.' We hope you enjoy your stay while feeling the memories of such a school.
Drawing source water seeping from the deposits of the former Kosan Mine, we have been heating it as mineral spring water and offering it to locals and visitors from outside the prefecture for over 60 years.Currently, we operate as a hot spring called 'Onseki-sen,' where the mineral deposits (ores) are laid at the bottom of the bathtub and heated. It warms your body thoroughly to the core, enhancing blood circulation and revitalizing the body. The water retains warmth well, promotes sweating, and is excellent for improving health. You can check the facility overview on our inn's website.Additionally, there is an Instagram icon at the bottom of the website, where you can view meals such as dinner and banquet dishes.
