This inn with only seven rooms was renovated from a 108-year-old elementary school in Akiyamago, a remote area rich in nature that straddles Niigata and Nagano prefectures. The inn's popular dishes are made with local ingredients and seasonal mountain bounty, such as wild vegetables in spring and mushrooms in autumn. In the former gymnasium, a sugoroku game, an artwork from the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, is set up. The giant sugoroku game takes up the entire gymnasium and is enjoyable for both adults and children. The inn serves creative Japanese cuisine that uses plenty of wild vegetables and other vegetables. We consider the balance of taste, color, and nutrition, and strive to create dishes that allow you to enjoy the flavor of the ingredients. We provide our guests with heartfelt hospitality, decorating their tables with seasonal flowers picked from the fields and mountains surrounding the inn, so that they can enjoy their precious meals. An elementary school that has been watching over many children in the remote Akiyamago. We hope you will enjoy your stay while reliving those memories of school.
