Description
Standing 1,625 meters high, this freestanding mountain, known as “Tsugaru Fuji,” can be seen from any part of Tsugaru Plain. Worshipped as a sacred mountain since ancient times, it was treated as a guardian deity of the Hirosaki Domain. There is a toll road leading to the eighth station, and lifts can be used to go up to the ninth station, so visitors can casually enjoy mountain climbing. Many onsen places are located in the surrounding area, visited by many people while they drive.
