Description
Running about 14km from Nenokuchi on Lake Towada to Yakeyama, Oirase Stream lets you walk right alongside its clear water, waterfalls, and moss-draped forest, with the scenery shifting at every turn. Unlike viewing it from an observation deck, moving through the forest at your own pace is what makes this walk special. Fresh green leaves in May and June, autumn colour in October, rain-soaked moss, and frozen waterfalls in winter change the mood completely, which is why so many visitors come back again and again.
