Akita Onsen Satomi

Satomi Akita Onsen is a hot spring inn located 4 km from JR Akita Station, in the tranquil countryside upstream of the famous entertainment district 'Kawabata.'
Known as 'Satomi Onsen,' this inn has been cherished by Akita citizens and boasts a mysterious natural hot spring that contributed to creating Akita beauties: 'Sodium Chloride Bicarbonate Spring' and 'Sodium Chloride Spring,' along with seasonal cuisine.

It is effective for ailments such as neuralgia, muscle pain, rheumatic diseases, and chronic gynecological issues, and is even said to bring blessings of fertility.
The water is said to make your skin smooth and has earned the name 'Beauty Bath,' while also being praised for its benefits for skin irritation, insect bites, and atopic conditions.
The spacious bathhouse, which can accommodate over 100 people at once, is equally large for both men and women and features outdoor baths and low-temperature saunas.

It is a central hub for sightseeing in the prefecture, with an hour's distance to Oga and Kakunodate, an hour and a half to Lake Tazawa and Mount Chokai, and about three hours to Lake Towada.
