Description
Fukumatsu Tanaka, the ”Herring Magnate” leader of a fisherman's union, built this lodge in Tomari-mura. It was moved to its current position in 1958. With a width of 29 meters and depth of 13 meters, this is the largest herring manor still standing. Implements and lifestyle items related to the herring industry are on display.
