Sapporo Kokusai Skiing Resort

A massive ski resort where you can enjoy some of Hokkaido's finest powder snow. It has everything necessary to please beginners through experts and families. There's a priority area where even beginners from overseas can ski without worry. You can ski without ever having to board a lift or gondola. On a clear day, there is a splendid view of the city of Otaru and the Japan Sea from the summit. Even if you can't ski or snowboard, the gondola can take on a round trip to enjoy the scenery! There's also a snow park where you can enjoy sledding and tubing, and a space for young children to enjoy playing in the snow. The ski area is 90 minutes away from inner Sapporo by car. During the ski season, a transit bus makes daily trips to help you get to and from the park. The park has one of Hokkaido's largest selections of rental equipment, so you can come to the park without any ski gear at all. No need for appointments, either!
