Description
This marketplace, along with Sapporo Nijo Fish Market and Hakodate Morning Market, are counted amongst Hokkaido's three greatest markets. Around 60 vendors can be found inside, with sea products being particularly varied and reasonable in price. During the tourism season, many come for the kattedon: a seafood rice bowl which begins with only rice. Bowl in hand, they choose ingredients to top it with from around the market.
