Goryokaku Tower

Description

The main attraction here is, of course, the view from the observation tower. From its glass-walled observation floor, you can see clearly the star-shaped outer walls of Goryokaku. On the first floor, you can get a sense of the tower's height from the see-through floor of reinforced glass. There's also a beautiful view of cherry blossoms in early May.

A 17-minute trip from the Hakodate Station on the Hakodate Tram for Yunokawa, then a ten-minute walk from Goryokaku-Koen-Mae
