The Mount Asahidake ropeway is about an hour drive from Asahikawa. The parking is 500 yen per car . It is very cold there in early October at -2degrees up the mountain so do dress warmly . The...Visited October 2025 -

Stayed in K hostel, about 1 km from the cable car up the mountain. Nice big modern place. Bring food. I took the cable car up the mountain and did the short walk for one hour.Visited July 2025
