We'll recommend some excellent hot springs located within 30 minutes of Haneda Airport that are open until 11 p.m., with pick-up service to and from Haneda Airport. Relax in a hot spring to soothe the fatigue of your journey!
Natural Hot Spring Heiwajima
From the Haneda Airport International Terminal, ride for 15 minutes on a shuttle bus bound for Omori Station. Natural Hotspring Heiwajima is located seven minutes' walk from the Heiwajima Iriguchi bus stop. The hot spring facility has nine different types of baths, with 150 tons of natural hot spring water flowing out from 2000m underground each day. Open 24 hours a day, with an early morning and late-night shuttle bus service for an extra cost from Haneda Airport. A reservation is required to use the special shuttle service. By train, the hot spring is three minutes by bus from Keikyu Heiwajima Station.
How to Enjoy a Natural Hot Spring
You start the bath by pouring water down your body. Make sure you don't go directly into the bathtub. Instead, scoop hot spring water with a pail and pour it onto yourself. This prepares your body to go into the hot spring by dilating your blood vessels and preventing a rapid rise in your blood pressure. After that, enjoy the air bubble bath, the lying bath, the total body bath, the sauna, and so on. Its hot salt-water spring coats and keeps your skin moisturized.
Relax in the Relaxation Room
After bathing, it's great to relax in the Relaxation Room, furnished with TVs and reclining chairs. Or you can hydrate yourself at the restaurant. The Thai-style healing salon offers a type of massage called Sen. Reflexology and acupressure massage are also recommended (at an extra charge).
