The Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen offers a similarly immersive experience on the Tokaido Shinkansen. This train is a first for the line, featuring an exterior and interior themed around Fantasy Springs and the iconic Disney films Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan. Running between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka, it’s an ideal way to travel for Disney fans visiting Osaka for Expo 2025.

Passengers can step into the magical world of Disney from February 2025 to mid-September 2025. Each car is decorated to reflect the unique themes of the Fantasy Springs areas, and Disney music plays during the ride, creating an unforgettable travel experience.

While not all trains running the tracks during this period will be decorated, both themed Shinkansen trains are available to passengers with standard tickets for the respective routes.

The Magical Journey Shinkansen travels on the Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen lines. Its route primarily operates between Tokyo Station and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station with stops at several key stations along the way. The train makes the following stops:

  • Omiya Station (Saitama)
  • Sendai Station (Miyagi)
