It’s that time of year again! Halloween is just around the corner, and Tokyo is already starting to gear up for some ghoulish festivities. With test tube drinks, ghostly cakes and pumpkin spiced sweets, Japan has everything you need to celebrate with your mates.
Every year in Tokyo, Shibuya goes absolutely crazy for Halloween, but crowds and cosplay aren’t for everyone! Let’s escape the crowds but chase the thrills with these Tokyo restaurants and hotels complete with ghosts and spells!
Grand Hyatt Tokyo: Halloween Overload!
First up is the Grand Hyatt Tokyo in lively Roppongi. Not content with a simple Halloween Menu, the Grand Hyatt is going all out with their spooky celebrations. For the entire month of October, many of their bars and restaurants will be awash with spiders, pumpkins and Halloween surprises. One of their most exciting set-ups, especially for adults, will be their Oak Door Bar on the sixth floor.
The bar will be transformed into a science lab of cocktails and concoctions, with spiderwebs adorning the walls and test tube beverages. Complete your drink with the “Test Tube Cocktail” and experiment with the different colors, or brave the “Eyeball Cocktail”, a sweet sensation of vodka and lychee.
For those who want to experience the thrills of the lab in broad daylight to avoid any darker spirits, the “Halloween Laboratory” afternoon tea will continue between 14:30 and 17:00 in the Oak Door Steakhouse. Satisfy your hunger with soda jelly and chocolate spiders!
Alternatively, you could liven up your Halloween with some adorable desserts and delicious pumpkin-spiced dishes in the French Kitchen or Fiorentina Pastry Boutique!
