Japan is undergoing a tourism boom right now and the number of visitors rises every year, and while people tend to be concerned about a spike in prices for hotels, Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai is a reasonably priced choice that offers luxurious facilities, including a Japanese public bath and an Italian restaurant with a great breakfast buffet.

3. Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel Great Choice for Longer Stays
The Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel is famous as the closest hotel to Tokyo Big Sight, Japan’s largest convention center. Of course, major spots around Odaiba are only a short walk away as well, and the nearby stations of the Rinkai and Yurikamome Line reliably take you to terminal stations in Tokyo’s center.
Toyosu Market, which opened in October 2018, is also only two stops away on the Yurikamome Line and there are shuttle buses taking you to Tokyo Disney Resort. The hotel also has several accommodation plans suited for both sightseeing and business, such as the one-day plan for after 1200 p.m. (from 5,500 yen).
The hotel offers a variety of rooms, including single, twin, and triple. The interior is attractive, with details such as task and indirect lighting creating nice atmospheres. The “Superior Rooms” on the higher floors also offer ample amenities such as body towels, but even the standard rooms won’t disappoint with things such as mineral water, drip bag coffee, an air-cleaning humidifier, and so on.
Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western dishes. Especially recommended is the “make your own seafood bowl” option.

4. Toyoko Inn Tokyo Shinagawa Konan-guchi Tennozu Isle: Free Breakfast Included!
Toyoko Inn is a hotel chain that is synonymous with “business hotel” in Japan. One of its most defining factors is its extremely reasonable rates. The basic rate for a room at this hotel near Shinagawa is between 4,000 yen to 8,000 yen and Toyoko Inn further offers deals such as omitting room cleaning for a discount after the second night or cheap rental car plans.
Toyoko Inn Tokyo Shinagawa Konan-guchi Tennozu Isle is a 3-minute walk away from Tennōzu Isle Station, which boasts direct access to Haneda Airport and everything around Odaiba can be reached on foot as well. Tennōzu itself is located in a prime spot at Tokyo’s waterfront, surrounded by a wide promenade that invites to relaxing walks along the different piers.
The area is also dotted with art galleries and event spaces, including open restaurants and cafés along the canal, as well as the Galaxy Theatre. There are plenty of markets and art events and Tennōzu is drawing attention as one of Tokyo’s trendiest spots. A free shuttle bus runs from Shinagawa Station’s South Exit as well.
A total of 740 rooms offer single, economy twin, family twin, king double, and so on. Choose from about 200 movies and shows of the video-on-demand service, available for 500 yen per day. Nightwear can be rented on the first floor.
The free breakfast is enjoyed in a spacious restaurant. It starts at 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. (only bread and coffee between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.), so early birds don’t have to stay hungry.
Dinner turns the venue into a shabu-shabu (meat fondue) specialty restaurant, offering both meat and vegetables to every diner. Enjoy the beef shabu-shabu with shoulder roast and assorted vegetables or the pork shabu-shabu with pork roast and vegetables – each set costs 980 yen and comes with all-you-can-eat rice.

5. Shinagawa Prince Hotel: Prime Spot for Entertainment
Shinagawa Prince Hotel is right in front of Shinagawa Station. It doesn’t only offer a variety of different rooms but also a plethora of entertainment spots, such as restaurants, an aquarium, a cinema, and a bowling center. One example is DINING & BAR TABLE 9 TOKYO on the 39th floor (which is also the top floor), consisting of nine areas including restaurants and so on.
The hotel has four towers for accommodation purposes, standard rooms and banquet halls. The Main Tower boasts a diverse choice of restaurants and bars, the Annex Tower focuses on king and double rooms, the N Tower serves as a city hotel for business travelers, and the East Tower is the closest to Shinagawa Station and has a café restaurant that is open 24 hours.
The Shinagawa Prince Hotel offers diverse choices for every kind of traveler in one stunning hotel. It’s about a 2-minute walk away from Shinagawa Station, which is a prominent stop for many Shinkansen lines. With only 15 minutes, it also boasts the shortest access to Haneda Airport, making it an excellent choice for both business and sightseeing.
Especially noteworthy is the incredibly popular Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa inside Shinagawa Prince Hotel. The aquarium is famous for its stunning use of light and sound that sets it apart from the rest. Sleek and modern, the “Jellyfish Rumble” is a particularly beautiful part of the facility, a fantastic space filled with sounds and illuminations that change by season. It’s like stepping into a mystical world inhabited by numerous jellyfish.
Since its opening in 1994, “LUXE DINING HAPUNA” has always enjoyed popularity as a buffet restaurant, but it has been reborn to an all-new entertainment restaurant with cutting-edge sound equipment and light production. Especially noteworthy are the new “Hapuna Falls” in the center of the restaurant, featuring a setup of six full HD monitors, bringing vivid virtual life to the mesmerizing setting.
The four food areas have displays that show the genre of the available dishes and with several photo spots, it’s a stunning place that is perfect for beautiful snapshots for social media. By the way: hapuna is a Hawaiian word meaning “gushing fountain of life.”
