McDonald's is the perfect spot for a quick bite to eat - but what about when you want something sweet?! For too long the McFlurry has taken center stage. Let's see what these cakes are all about!
Introducing the Cake Set!
McCafé by Barista is a café corner available at some McDonald’s stores. There you’ll find high quality café-style drinks and desserts that you wouldn’t typically see at a fast food restaurant. This spring, for a limited time, McCafé shops are offering a special menu of cake and drink sets for 500 yen, a savings of about 100 yen off compared to buying them separately.
The cakes offered are, as shown clockwise from top left in the above image, black tea chiffon cake, raspberry and chocolate cupcake, chocolate tart, Oreo cookies and cream roll cake, and marshmallow cream tart. Drinks offered are café latte, Americano coffee, or Darjeeling tea. Choose your favorite combination and enjoy a little relaxation at your neighborhood McDonald’s.
These sets are also available for takeout!
Cake Lineup
Oreo Cookies and Cream Roll Cake
This cake roll features a contrast between the crunchy texture of Oreos and the soft sponge cake with a slightly bitter cocoa flavor.
Marshmallow Cream Tart
The aromatic graham-flavored crust is layered with almond cream, chocolate ganache, and marshmallow cream that has been lightly roasted on top.
Raspberry and Chocolate Cupcake
The rich chocolate cupcake with a hint of bitterness is topped with smooth raspberry cream.
Chocolate Tart
The crust is layered with chocolate ganache and chocolate mousse, which is then topped with chocolate shavings and cocoa powder.
Black Tea Chiffon Cake
Made with fragrant Earl Grey tea leaves, this soft sponge cake is paired with smooth whipped cream that melts in your mouth.
