Tokyo Disney Resort® is also set to offer a range of exciting ‘Get Soaked’ Programs during the two-month period from July 4 to September 6, to help guests beat the summer heat.

Tokyo Disneyland® invites visitors to experience the fun-filled 'Splash Mountain Get Soaked MAX' event, taking place at the ever-popular Splash Mountain attraction. This installment includes the summer-limited addition of a water-splashing mechanism for a thrilling combination of refreshment and excitement!

During the parade, held three times daily, guests will have the chance to experience the exciting 'Baymax Mission: Cool Down'. Baymax, the care robot from the Disney movie, will appear on a parade float, actively monitoring spectators' "energy levels". When he detects an area of significantly low energy, the float will come to a stop as guests are pleasantly surprised with a refreshing spritz!

Both parks also offer a “Cool-Down Time”, in which Cast Members appear with barrels of water on their backs, walking around and spraying a cool mist on visitors upon request for relief from the summer heat. Shaved ice, soft-serve ice cream, and other refreshing summer treats will also be available.

This summer, Tokyo DisneySea® will also host a variety of entertainment programs, providing the opportunity to meet all seven beloved characters from Duffy & Friends for the first time.

On the first floor of Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Lounge Komyo, guests can enjoy some delicious shaved ice while overlooking the Japanese garden (3,800 yen, tax included, service charge not included). These ices, served in gorgeous Kyo-yaki bowls, are made with first-grade Fukujuen tea, dating back to the Edo Period, and Tamba Kuromame. Around 170 shops in the Nihonbashi area will be selling refreshing limited edition menu items that evoke a sense of Japanese tradition, such as "Goldfish Jelly" resembling a refreshing goldfish bowl, "Chilled Oden" with flavorful broth-infused jelly perfect for summer, and "Goldfish-shaped Kombu Craft" made from Hokkaido's Rishiri Kombu.

From August 10th (Thursday) to August 13th (Sunday), there will be the inaugural "Nihonbashi Kakigori Festival 2023" featuring a variety of shaved ice from local eateries in a food stall format. Guests can enjoy unique flavors like "Seasonal Shirokuma-kun" shaped like a polar bear and "Chestnut Mont Blanc Kakigori."

Additionally, there will be several wind chime spots, including the "Wind Chime Path in Fukutoku Forest," where approximately 200 Edo-style wind chimes will adorn both sides of the pathway leading from Fukutoku Shrine to Fukutoku Forest. This is Japan's largest outdoor rock festival organized by the music media company "Rocking On Group." One of its distinctive features is that all the performing artists are Japanese, unlike other outdoor festivals.

The 64th Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori takes place in the Koenji Station North-South Shopping Street and Koenji South Street (Suginami Ward, Tokyo). After being canceled due to the impact of COVID-19, this year's outdoor dance performances will resume after a four-year hiatus.

Awa Odori is a Bon dance festival held annually during the Obon period in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. The Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori started in 1957, initiated by local young people to liven up the shopping district.

Over the years, approximately 10,000 dancers have performed, attracting around one million spectators over the course of the two-day event. To the lively sounds of flutes and drums, people of all ages dance through the streets, and on August 26 and 27, the town of Koenji will be filled with excitement.

During the day, the first part begins at 11:30 AM, followed by the second part at 2:00 PM. Additionally, there will be elaborately staged performances at the "Session Suginami Hall" (Tickets for one show cost 2,000 yen).
