The Ishinomaki Minamihama Kadowaki area was hit by severe tsunami damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake, which is said to be a once-in-a-millennium disaster.
You can tour the Ishinomaki Minamihama Tsunami Reconstruction Memorial Park and the earthquake ruins of Kadowaki Elementary School, and experience the memories of a world-class disaster. Learn about the wonders of nature and how to prepare for disaster prevention.
Lastly, we admired contemporary art works such as Tadashi Kawamata's Ishinomaki Tower, which was built in the same area to illuminate the post-earthquake area of Ishinomaki. You will feel hope for the future.
