Overview
This tour combines three unique experiences you won't find anywhere else.

Firstly, it is the ultimate collaboration between the brewer, the master brewer and the sushi chef. Through an interpreter, you can learn directly about the brewing philosophy while experiencing the perfect marriage of fresh sushi made right before your eyes.

Secondly, you can stay at a genuine hot spring inn. Relaxing in a Japanese-style room with the scent of tatami mats and soaking in natural hot springs will be an unforgettable experience that will allow you to experience the essence of traditional Japanese hospitality culture.

Thirdly, it is a journey that uses all five senses to explore Ibaraki's terroir. It is an active, delicious, and intellectually fulfilling two-day experience that includes cultural experiences such as the view from Mount Tsukuba, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, a pottery experience in Kasama, and making your own plum wine.

What to expect

Embark on an extraordinary two-day journey that will satisfy all five senses, starting in Tokyo. This premium tour offers a deep experience of Ibaraki's rich "terroir" (local character) through food, culture, and nature. On day one, head to Mount Tsukuba, overlooking the Kanto Plain. After enjoying the spectacular views via a hike or ropeway ride, enjoy the ultimate culinary experience at Inaba Sake Brewery, a long-established sake brewery. Enjoy authentic Edomae sushi prepared right before your eyes and a sake pairing lunch accompanied by a personal commentary from the brewery's master brewer. In the evening, stay overnight at a traditional ryokan inn at Mount Tsukuba Onsen, where you'll enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs. On day two, visit the artistic home of Kasama ware and stroll through the vibrant Nakaminato Fish Market. For lunch, enjoy Ibaraki's specialty monkfish hotpot and sake, and in the afternoon, try your hand at making your own original plum wine at the renowned sake brewery, Meiri Shuru
