MAMI Mami Ski School was founded in 1988 by Mami Honma, Japan's first female ski action demonstrator. It has provided ski lessons for more than 25 years at the Moiwa Mountain Ski Resort, located a few kilometers away from the center of Sapporo. Moiwayama Ski Resort is the only ski resort in Hokkaido that prohibits the use of snowboards, allowing children to elementary school students to enjoy skiing here. Principal Mami Honma started skiing at the age of three and won many skiing awards during her school days. With her excellent skiing skills, she was selected as the first female action demonstrator of SIA. Her gorgeous skiing skills were recognized by the skiing industry. MAMI Ski School was established in 1988 and attracted much attention because she was the first female ski school principal in Hokkaido and the youngest ski school principal. She was a regular guest on Hokkaido TV's program "Hey Star" for five years, and her coaching methods were widely praised.
