What to expect

Noboribetsu Hell Valley is a crater remnant in Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido, Japan. It is adjacent to Lake Toya. It was formed about 10,000 years ago. There is a place about 450 meters in diameter that is still spewing white smoke, with no grass growing, and strong sulfur. Noboribetsu Jigokudani is so named because it feels like being in hell. (Normal departures in winter) Oyunuma is the remains of an explosive crater formed when Mount Hiyori erupted. A sulfur spring of about 130 degrees erupts from the bottom of the pond. It is the source of hot spring water for major hot spring hotels in Noboribetsu. There is an observation deck here, where you can see the steaming lake and swamp in front of you. You can also walk to the lake to experience it up close. The scenic spot is closed due to road reasons in winter; Showa Shinzan Wakuma Ranch: December 28, Showa 18 (1943) On the 2nd, a strong earthquake occurred near Mount Usu on the shores of Lake Toya. As a result, a volcano erupted, causing the ground to rise rapi
