• I am an experienced guide with a background in Japanese cultural studies and a long time foreign resident of Japan which will offer you a unique perspective of our beloved city of Kyoto. This tour gives you an opportunity to not just travel around Kyoto with other travelers but locals as well. I invite my local Japanese friends to join so we can engage in conversation and explore the sights together. Our tour will have you meeting locals and other travelers as well as visiting some of the most exciting places in Kyoto!

We start our journey from our meeting point at the ECO TRIP store located near Kyoto Station. From there, we will go to Toji Temple by bike. This will take approximately 10 minutes. There we visit one of the most ancient temples, which is also a world heritage site. We will spend around 30 minutes exploring together and learning about the history of the ancient capital, Kyoto.
