Experience authentic pottery in Kyoto with guidance from a nationally certified artisan. Unlike large, tourist-style workshops, this experience is limited to a maximum of 5 guests, allowing for careful one-on-one instruction tailored to each participant’s pace and skill level. You will begin with the essential clay preparation process known as “tsuchikoroshi,” a step usually prepared in advance in most workshops. By experiencing this important foundation yourself, you can better understand the balance, pressure, and concentration required in Japanese pottery.
