- The Gion Festival, with over a thousand years of history, spans a month of various events. This tour offers a night stroll to view the illuminated Yamahoko floats in the neighborhood. Our experienced staff will guide you through the highlights of the Yamahoko floats, assembled using traditional rope techniques without nails.
- The Gion Festival also features the Byobu Festival, where old houses in the Yamahoko neighborhoods open their rooms to display treasured folding screens. On this tour, we will visit the "Nagae Family Residence," a designated tangible cultural property of Kyoto. This year’s exhibition theme is "Heian Literature," featuring displays on the Tale of Genji, popularized by the Taiga drama series.
