Japanese-style tavern GOKAN is the subsidiary of the popular Karuizawa accommodation "Kutsukake Stay Nakakaruizawa", providing authentic Japanese food in a quiet space away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Using mainly fresh local ingredients from Karuizawa, combined with handmade soba noodles and directly delivered fish, we present seasonal kaiseki cuisine. Chef Takahiro Umezawa combines traditional Japanese cooking techniques with local food culture to impress every guest.
