- Itinerary - * Togakushi Shrine Venture into the depths of the Nagano Mountains and discover Togakushi Shrine, revered as one of "Japan's Three Great Spiritual Sites." Boasting a history spanning over two millennia, the interconnected five shrines exude a serene solemnity. The ancient cedar trees lining the Okusha Approach in particular, offer a breathtaking and powerful experience. * Jigokudani Monkey Park Located in the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park in northern Nagano, at the foot of the Shiga Kogen mountains at an elevation of 850 meters. The area is covered in snow for about 1/3 of the year. Due to geothermal activity, steam and hot spring water rise from the ground. The 모습 of steep mountains and rising heat has earned it the name Jigokudani (Hell Valley). Monkeys have lived freely in this natural environment since ancient times, and in the harsh winter climate of Jigokudani, hot springs have become a way for them to withstand the cold.
